Doctors say the secret to good health is really no secret at all: Eat a healthful diet and get plenty of exercise.

As you enter puberty, eating a healthful diet and getting lots of exercise take on extra importance. You'll need calories to fuel the enormous growth spurt that comes with puberty, and your body will work more efficiently when you exercise regularly. It's important to do both.

Build a Good-Health Pyramid

The food pyramid shows how much of different kinds of foods a person should eat each day. For instance, experts recommend that each person eat at least six servings of bread or cereal each day. Compare the way you eat with the recommendations shown on the Good-Health Pyramid by keeping track, on an average day, of how many servings you get of

* fats, oils, and sweets

* milk and cheese

* meat, poultry, and fish
