An inclined plane is a slanted surface that connects one level to another. It helps get an object to another level using less force.
Have you ever seen a wheelchair being pushed up a ramp, or an inclined plane? It is easier to move the wheelchair up the inclined plane than it is to lift it up the ramp or stairs. Try the experiment with a partner to learn more about inclined planes.
