When you eat and drink foods from the milk group, they help keep your bones strong and growing.

Without bones you wouldn't be able to stand. Bones hold up your body. Bones come in different shapes and sizes. How tall you are depends on the size of your bones.

Bones are very hard. They protect the insides of your body. The bones in your head make up the skull. They protect your brain. The bones in your chest are called ribs. They protect your lungs and heart.

An X ray is a special picture a doctor takes to see your bones. A doctor uses an X ray to see whether a bone is broken or not growing right.
