For many years, plants were used to dye, or color, cloth. During the early 1900s, scientists discovered how to use chemicals to make better and less expensive dyes. Today, most cloth is dyed using these newer chemical colors. Some people enjoy using the natural colors from plants to dye cloth. Follow directions to create your own colors.
