FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ Since its birth 35 years ago, the African-American cultural holiday of Kwanzaa has gone decidedly mainstream, with its own U.S. postage stamp, its own bronze commemorative coin and its accoutrements sold in shopping malls across the country.

Now it has its own direct-mail campaign. Kwanzaa Seals _ as in Christmas Seals and Chanukah Seals _ are the American Lung Association's latest addition to its roster of holiday-season fundraisers.

The American Lung Association of Southeast Florida introduced Kwanzaa Seals for the first time this year, and the colorful stamps are only being marketed in five local counties, including Palm Beach …
