Americans may have many differences, but we also share something that unites us all: our unique American culture. Just as people from other countries share language, religious beliefs, holidays, foods, and customs, so too do Americans. For instance, almost all of us speak English. Americans have been taught to value freedom, democracy, and equality. We observe American holidays such as Thanksgiving and Independence Day. We drive on the right side of the road and shake hands when we're introduced. And of course, most of us have eaten hamburgers and worn blue jeans.
