THE MET CELEBRATES VERDI PART II
The Metropolitan Opera concludes its yearlong commemoration of the centennial of the death of Giuseppe Verdi with a compilation of highlights from historic telecasts from the Met. James Levine is the host and conductor of the program, which is comprised of selections from eight operas. Among the artists to be heard are Barbara Bonney, Vladimir Chernov, Placido Domingo, Renee Fleming, Mirella Freni, Susan Graham, Marilyn Horne, Frank Lopardo, Sherrill Milnes, Leona Mitchell, James Morris, Luciano Pavarotti, Paul Plishka, Bruno Pola, Ruggero Raimondi, Samuel Ramey, Renata Scotto, Kiri Te Kanawa and Dolora Zajick.
