Boa's is truly "deep south"

Manuel Boa claims he's the southernmost tire dealer in the continental United States -- and it's no idle boast. Boa's Tire Service can be found at 825 Duval St., Key West, FL, the southernmost city on an isle in the southernmost state.

Located in the heart of Key West's Old Town, this area of somewhat clannish island dwellers is remote from Mainland, USA. Miami, as a matter of fact, is 156 miles north.

Though Key West swells to some 90,000 during tourist season, it is the 30,000 permanent residents who make up about 95 percent of Boa's customers.
