Music to his ears

This tire and custom wheel dealer loves to hear about ride problems.

Owner Ralph Schissler says that his Atlantic Tire in Baltimore has a reputation.

"When they (customers) have their pride and joy -- whether it be an exotic or a street rod that most people don't even want to work on -- this is the place to come to," he boasts.

Customers coming from as far away as 40-plus miles for tires, custom wheels and specialized service prove his claim.

"We have a reputation," Schissler says. "We're the people in town that take care of the vibration and ride problems."

Indeed, Atlantic Tire is near in service and product to what Schissler describes as a "ride-perfection center." Located on Pulaski Highway (Rt. 40) just east of downtown Baltimore, the service area of the sevenbay tire and custom wheel dealership is crammed with six lifts, a Hunter F-70 dynamic wheel aligner, rim clamps and an array of wheel balancers.
