LOS ANGELES _ As a translator, Jaroslav Modry was part prophet, part provocateur.
The Kings defenseman helped bridge the language barrier two days ago between reporters and his Slovak defense partner, Lubomir Visnovsky, to tell the story of Visnovsky's 30-hour round trip to Bratislava earlier this week to get married.
Modry joked that Visnovsky would play great now that he had someone to do his cooking and cleaning for him.
Sure enough, Visnovsky had a goal and an assist Saturday and Modry a career-high three assists as the Kings beat the Nashville Predators, 4-2, Saturday afternoon at Staples Center.
