Saturday, it was Owls center Kevin Lyde in that predicament after he sprained his left ankle in the final seconds of the first half against Penn State.
By the time Temple finished off its 75-63 victory over the Nittany Lions at the Liacouras Center, Lyde was on his way back from Temple University Hospital, with what was diagnosed as a moderately severe sprained ankle. It wasn't exactly clear what happened as Lyde fell. He said he wasn't sure whether he tripped over somebody or just turned the ankle going down after he grabbed a rebound.
