SEOUL -- After two years of talks, South Korea's SK Group may not be able to reach an agreement to sell a 14.5% stake in its SK Telecom Corp. unit to Japan's NTT DoCoMo Inc.
"The possibilities may not be so good," said Chung Hwan Choi, a manager at SK Telecom's investor relations department. "It's hard to say what is going to happen."
The SK Group and NTT DoCoMo are still negotiating and the Korean group said it hoped to wrap up the deal by the end of this year. Choi declined to comment on the reasons why the talks were not going well. But he said that even if the negotiations for the stake sale failed, NTT DoCoMo could still work …
