SEOUL -- The restructuring committee for Hynix Semiconductor Inc. said Nov. 28 it may link the South Korean chipmaker with a foreign company.

Former Commerce Minister Kook Hwan Shin, head of the seven-member committee, said it would consider all options, although no progress has been made for such a move. The group met for the first time Wednesday to discuss measures to revive the ailing group, which carries more than $6 billion of debt.
