Clark County Commissioner Bruce Woodbury said Wednesday he wants to prohibit elected officials from appearing on the county's cable-access channel during election season.
The county followed an informal policy in last year's elections, Woodbury said, but the seasoned commissioner wants to formalize regulations so incumbents don't have an unfair advantage, and so taxpayers won't think their money is used for campaign purposes.
"During an election year, commissioners or other elected county officials, when they are up for re-election or election to higher office, should not be featured in county programs on Channel 4," Woodbury said.…
