Four-year-old Darcy was watching TV. "Mommy!" she called out. "Can I have a Really Truly Baby? She cries and wets and everything! Pleeeeaaase, Mommy?"
Mrs. Verdon sighed. "We'll see, honey. Maybe for your birthday."
The kids want everything they see on TV; Mrs. Verdon thought to herself. She opened the newspaper and noticed an ad for a new bakery that had opened in town. "I have to remember to try it out," she thought.
A few minutes later, 10-year-old Justin walked in the door. He greeted his mother, then headed straight for the cookie jar. "Mom," he asked, "can you buy those cookies that come with the coupon so you can send away for CDs?"
After supper, Mr. Verdon mentioned a billboard he had seen on his way home. On it was a scene from a new movie. "It's opening this weekend. Maybe we should all go see it," he suggested.
