It was Tuesday morning and Ms. Carpenter was talking to her class about yesterday's lesson on tobacco. "Does anyone have any questions?" she asked.
"I do," said Kristen. "Does chew have tobacco in it too?"
"Why do you ask?" asked Ms. Carpenter.
"Well, yesterday you told us smoking cigarettes can hurt our bodies because of the tobacco in them. My older brother uses chew, and I was wondering if it has tobacco in it too. If it does, can it hurt someone's body just like cigarettes can?" asked Kristen.
"What's chew?" asked Tanya.
"Chew, or dip, is smokeless tobacco," said Ms. Carpenter. "It is a wad of tobacco that people put in their mouths to chew on."
"I have seen baseball players use it," answered Jack.
