Great!" Sid said as he opened up his birthday present. A cool pair of in-line skates. All his friends had them. Sid hated being different from his friends. He had been asking his parents for a new pair of skates all year. Now he had them. They looked great! He was so excited, he made plans to meet his friend Tom at the park.
When Sid got to the park, he saw Tom standing with some older boys. Sid joined them. "Hey, Tom. What's going on?"
"Hi, Sid. These are some of my brother's friends."
A couple of the boys were smoking. "Want a smoke?" asked one boy as he held out a pack of cigarettes to Sid.
Sid didn't want one. He knew that smoking cigarettes can hurt your body. He tried to remember what they had talked about in school. What should you do if someone offers you a cigarette?
