Samson Co. Ltd. and Osaka Gas Co. Ltd. have jointly developed a compact steam boiler which when operating at full capacity emits exhaust gas with an NOx (nitrogen oxide) content of under 30 ppm.
The compact drum body has improved thermal conductance due to a fuel premixing low-NOx burner, designed by Osaka Gas, and which is claimed to have the globally lowest NOx generation.
The new boiler introduces an exhaust gas mixing combustion system burner that delays the fuel and oxygen reaction to lower the maximum flame temperature and the primary flame exhaust gas is charged into the secondary flame thereby suppressing the generation of NOx gas. The combustion gas is also circulated to the burner central part, to lower the flame temperature by the self exhaust gas recirculation system by which low NOx gas generation is further promoted.
