South Africans lift World Cup of Golf in thriller playoff.

South Africans Ernie Els and Retief Goosen survived a thrilling four-way playoff to pocket the 1 million dollar first prize at the EMC World Cup of Golf at the Taiheiyo Club in Shizuoka on Sunday. American superstar Tiger Woods and David Duval roared to life down the stretch to finish birdie, birdie, birdie, eagle to join South Africa, Denmark and New Zealand in the playoff.

After New Zealand, who carried a three shot lead into the foursomes final round, and the Americans failed to birdie the 517-yard, par-5 18th in the first hole of the playoff, Denmark and the South Africans headed to the 14th hole, a 420-yard par-4.
