Miguel Berger has started his own residential real estate firm after 17 years of working for others in the area.

Tech Valley Homes Real Estate LLC, Berger's new firm, will open an office at 475 Albany Shaker Road in Loudonville by the end of the month. Berger, who is well known in the residential real estate community, currently has no agents working for him.

"Nobody is going to make a move before the office is open," Berger said.

Until a year and a half ago, Berger was a partner at Blackman & DeStefano Real Estate Inc., a large firm based in Delmar. He managed the firm's Loudonville office and oversaw the computer and telecommunications network for …
