Jayapura, Papua, Nov 12 (ANTARA) - A doctor said Monday chairman of the Papua Presidium Council, Theys Hiyo Eluay, had choked to death inside his car but ruled out strangulation as the cause of death.
Director of the Jayapura General Hospital, Dr Clemens Manyakori, who led the autopsy on Eluay, said the latter did not die of gunshot wound.
Manyakori said doctors who examined Eluay have found injuries around his mouth and nose, as well as sperm secretions, but found no injury in his internal organs.
He said the doctors believe Eluay was not killed.
He also said Eluay had died 17 hours before he was found.
