UV DRYING FOR COATING, PRINTING
The Wallace Knight `Metalcure' ultraviolet drying systems are a departure from traditional hot air drying ovens but they find extensive application in the metal decorating industry.
A `Metalcure' UV drying oven eliminates wicket oven work and produces firm drying with a subsequent avoidance of rub and scuff in conjunction with UV inks and lacquers. UV inks and lacquers also offer high solvent resistance and low odour. Inter-press operation is speeded by having sheets delivered face up to eliminate stack-turning in multicolour work.
Wallace Knight has pioneered the use of UV drying in the metal decorating industry and has designed `Metalcure' UV dryers which are in use with most types of metal decorating press in various widths. The ...
