NIAAA Grantees to Study Impact of Warning Labels

NIAAA has issued a request for applications (RFA) for research grants to gauge the effect of the newly mandated health and risk warning labels which will be required on all alcoholic beverage containers in November.

The Institute said that about $600,000 will be available for several awards during the first year of funding, and if additional applications are deemed worthy of support, funds may also be made available from NIAAA's regular extramural research grant pool, so-called R01s.
