Nov. 12--Don't look for "the Breeders' Cup as it was meant to be" to come to Keeneland next year.
A recent Thoroughbred Times article caused speculation that the championship day of thoroughbred racing might be headed to Lexington.
Keeneland President Nick Nicholson told the industry publication, "It's something I'm quite sure we could do."
But not any time soon.
Nicholson said later that "I believe all the stuff I said (in the article) I but I don't want to get anybody's hopes up."
