The long-running anti-tobacco bid process has reached its final act: E.B. Lane Marketing Communications has won the multimillion dollar state account beating out two other suitors, Cramer-Krasselt and Moses Anshell.
Phoenix-based E.B. Lane was awarded the $7 million to $10 million-a-year account this summer, but it was yanked back after two competing local agencies protested the process.
The objections alleged an unfair bidding procedure, and the account was rebid by the Arizona Department of Health Services, which oversees the Tobacco Education and Prevention Program. The contract spans five years with annual renewal options.
