KUCHING, Nov 9 (Bernama) -- Drug abuse or liquor consumption among Sarawak secondary school students is not serious when compared to other states, Sarawak Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Datuk Adenan Satem said today.

"It cannot be denied that a small group of students is involved in drug addiction, glue sniffing and liquor consumption but this situation should not create a perception that the problem is widespread in Sarawak," he told the State Assembly.

Replying to Mong Anak Dagang (BN-Bukit Begunan) and Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah (BN-Asajaya), he said the Sarawak Education Department was cooperating with the relevant agency to overcome the problem. …
