Output cuts slow industrial.

Industrial production slowed slightly in July due to output cuts in the electrical machinery, textile, paper and paper products, and rubber products, data from the National Statistics Office (NSO) show.

Manufacturing output, as measured by the value of production index (VaPI), expanded 11.4% in July compared with 13.7% in June, and 19.2% in July last year, shows the 1994-based Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries. Volume-wise, July output fell 2.1% from a year ago.

Sales turnover also exhibited the same pattern, with sales value accelerating by only 6.3% in July compared with 15.4% the previous month.
