Calling-all curvy ladies: These-days, everyone's going crazy for the caboose, so don't be afraid to put a wiggle in your walk.
* Thankfully, bodacious back doors have always been stylish--and appreciated, Who could forget Sir Mix-A-Lot's 1992 hit "Baby Got Back"? But the fanny never truly achieved superstar status until Jennifer Lopez brought her ample seat onto the Hollywood scene in the late '90s. While the rest of the world strived after teeny tushes, J.Lo remained undaunted by her queen-size duff. "At first, she got a lot of flak for her fanny," says Los Angeles celebrity stylist Fati Parsia, whose clients have included Catherine Zeta-Jones and Heather Locklear. "But she always had the attitude 'I'm curvy and I'm not going to cover it,' and now everyone loves her butt." Popular culture has jumped aboard the booty bandwagon, so we have the scoop on putting your patootie on parade.
The Rules of Rump Shaking
There are just a few things you should know before putting on a booty show.
1 Don't conceal your asset. Loose clothing is a no-go look for those blessed with a bountiful behind. Show off your lower half by donning form-fitting duds.
2 Choose clingy second skin. "Wear clothing with stretch, which will round out your curves as opposed to making you look boxy," says Cosmo sittings editor Orla Maguire-Moore.
3 Pay attention to duff-sensitive details. When buying pants, pockets are a biggie-if they're too small, your butt will look XX-large; if they're too far apart, you're heinie will look wide.
