2001 NOV 7 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The nation's only manufacturer of an anthrax vaccine planned to submit new documents to the federal government, trying to gain approval to distribute the vaccine.

Lansing, Michigan-based BioPort Corp. has been unable to ship anthrax vaccine during its three years of operation because it has failed to meet U.S. Food and Drug Administration standards.

BioPort bought its lab from the state in 1998 and was required to get FDA approval after it spent $16.8 million to expand and upgrade the lab. ...
