A festival of American Indian culture launches the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District's annual celebration of Native American Heritage Month.

Slated for the Clark County Library theater courtyard, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, from 11 a.m.- to 3 p.m. Saturday, the Native American Festival features a market, dance exhibitions, art projects and American Indian food such as Navajo tacos and fry bread.

Admission is free.

Performers scheduled to perform include the Alchesay High School Indian Club Crown Dancers from Whiteriver, Ariz.; the Hashan Kehk Chudthkam dance group from Gila River, Ariz.; the Hopi Sinom dance group from Shungopavi Village, Ariz.; and the McCabe Family Dancers from Southern…
