Eddie Basha Jr. has carried on the family grocery business -- now on its way into the hands of fourth-generation Bashas. The family opened its first Arizona store in Chandler during the 1920s and has stayed true to the East Valley.

Today, Bashas' operates an 8-acre distribution facility in Chandler to serve its numerous stores, as well as its AJ's Fine Foods and Food City locations.

Basha remains one of the Valley's champions of public education. In addition to Bashas' "Register Tapes for Education" program, he has held various public roles serving both elementary and higher education.
