* The story so far: Maggie returned from her whirlwind trip to Brazil to find an E-mail from Chris, a hot photographer she used to date. Despite vowing to play it cool, she wound up in a second-date sack session with him....

tuesday

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. Chris and I are in a semistate of seeing each other again. Meaning we're hanging a couple of nights a week and he calls me every day--even when he's on photo shoots. I've chilled about his working with all those models. His nickname for them? Twizzlers. Love that! Just not convinced that we're meant to be. He's smokin' for sure, and very sweet, plus the sex is frequent and fab, but I don't think we click on a mental level. We never get beyond discussing music or fashion, which is fine occasionally, but I'm starting to feel the need for a little more mental stimulation.

thursday

Mark is in town! (My best blend from college who works in Hong Kong now.) He's in New York for a couple of days on business. Staying at some hip hotel in SoHo, and the only time he can have dinner with me is tonight. Which means I have to cancel with Chris. No biggie. Only had movie plans anyway.

later thursday

So much for my understanding beau! Chris was furious that I wanted to cancel--esp. to have dinner in some fancy hotel with another guy. Refused to even listen when I explained that Mark and I are purely platonic. He hung up on me after I told him I wasn't changing my mind. Ugh. This ridiculous jealousy thing is really hideous--I have no time for possessive boys cramping my style. Does this mean we're done again? Damn.
