Our first quarter with the IS 300 was a pleasure, but in the car's second quarter we began to have problems-some our doing (collision), some not (ignition lock cylinder failure). Quarter three was no different: lots of repairs, lots of days out of service and more than $1,400 to maintain the sport sedan.
Once it returned from the collision shop we promptly shod the IS 300 in Dunlop Graspic DS-1 215/45QR-17 snow tires. No sooner were they mounted than a staffer hit a pothole on the way to the office, tearing the brand-new left-front tire. Finding a replacement snow tire was an adventure, but find one we did, and we were on our way.
Or so we thought. A couple of days later we noticed a loose exterior door handle on the driver's side. The dealer repaired it under warranty.
