By N D BATRA INDIA should welcome and encourage the US presence in Pakistan because it will eventually lessen terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and also reduce the threat from the Pakistan-China alliance. Pakistan cannot have it all, continue to be a sanctuary for terrorists, import missile and nuclear technology from China and at the same time seek economic aid, investment and technology from the USA and its allies to build its shattered economy. The US gain in Pakistan will be Chinas loss and that wont hurt India.
