3 states account for 50% of NTPCs dues.

STATESMAN NEWS SERVICE NEW DELHI, Sept. 28. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh account for half of the National Thermal Power Corporations total dues from state electricity boards, NTPCs CMD, Mr C,P Jain has said.

NTPC has sent notices to these states to clear their combined dues of Rs 8,830.47 crore, failing which their power supplies would be regulated. The total dues from all SEBs stood at Rs 16.063 crore, Mr Jain said at the companys annual press conference.

With the realisation of billing dropping to about 73 per cent during the current financial year, Mr Jain said at this rate it will not be possible for us to supply power to the states. For …
