Nobody needed last week's Typhoon Nari less than Taiwan. The island is in its worst recession in 30 years, unemployment is skyrocketing, the stock market is in shambles and too many businesses are moving to China, land of low wages, cheap commercial property and tax incentives. Nari means "lily" in Korean, but the typhoon was far from graceful, dropping the equivalent of four months of rainfall on Taiwan in just four days. ...
