Hyundai Tiburon

The new coupe (called the Coupe in Europe, Tiburon in the United States) is a completely redesigned model with hints of Celica in its sleeker styling. Considering its predecessor, this is not a bad thing. Tiburon also reaches higher into the performance arena by offering a 2.7-liter V6 in addition to the base four-cylinder, and a new six-speed manual transmission. U.S. sales start early next year.

Opel Signum2

A styling study, this front-wheel drive car provides a look at the Opels of the future. The versatile interior features seating and a storage box on rails that can be easily moved back and forth as needed. Opel says the styling combines the pleasing lines of a coupe with the practicality of a station wagon-in this case a station wagon with an onboard espresso machine. Wonder what the driver distraction factor is on brewing a cup while commuting?

Nissan Crossbow 4x4

Christopher Reitz, studio chief designer, drew inspiration from the Nissan Patrol for the Crossbow concept, which may reveal the direction Nissan is heading for its next-generation SUV. The 20-inch tires with deep sidewalls utilize Michelin's PAX run-flat tire system. Crossbow's profile is dominated by the upright windscreen, wraparound rear windows and double-opening doors, complete with steps that activate when the doors are opened. Because of the big windscreen, vertical wiping blades had to be utilized in order to clean the glass surface. Leaving no doubt Crossbow is a serious off-roader, the front bumper has a removable panel in the center that reveals a built-in winch and tow hitch points.
