is the one from central casting who stands close to six-feet-four-inches tall, bolt upright with silver hair, chomps on cigars that appropriately fit his face and doesn't take grief from anyone.
He is credited with helping to create the Viper, the Prowler and at least a half-dozen other cars and trucks embraced by the public. The buying, consuming, influencing public. He is also a no-nonsense business leader.
That is something GM has desperately needed: someone who can direct the car- and truck-making ship. It's all about product, and the folks running GM have come to learn that.
