Brunei: Integration of religious, mainstream education is timely.

The greatest challenge of the Ministry of Education is to produce Bruneians who are able to play their parts in a knowledge sophisticated technologically-oriented society and at the same time remain imbued with strong Islamic and Brunei values.

"It is explicitly stated in our education policy that we provide Islamic religious education in accordance with Ahli Sunnah Wal-Jamaah and through the school curriculum," said the Director of Schools of the Ministry of Education, Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam binti Pg Hj Matarsat.
