The success of Wells Fargo Bank Arizona's nonprofit banking division is sparking interest from other Wells Fargo regions, seeking profitable opportunities in a market forcing charitable groups to be more financially savvy.
The 3-year-old division, with a dedicated staff targeting local nonprofits, has grown from 150 to 240 customers in the past year, said Bob Wilson, senior vice president and manager of the specialty markets group for Wells Fargo Bank Arizona. The division had its official kick-off in September 1998, Wilson said.
