NEW DELHI, Sept. 18 - AMIDST setbacks on Air India, Indian Airlines and IPCL, the Government has called for price bids from bidders who had expressed interest in acquiring a controlling stake in CMC and HTL.

According to Disinvestment Ministry sources, technical and financial bids have been invited from those who have submitted their expression of interest for buying a majority of the Government's stake in the two State-owned firms.

The sources said that the prospective buyers have been asked to submit their price bids by the end of September.
