Pirelli seen winning OK for Telecom Italia.(Brief Article)

Analysts are betting that tire and cable maker Pirelli SpA will win approval for its takeover of Telecom Italia SpA in a European Commission ruling, which could come by Sept. 27.
"I don't see any real reason for the Commission to turn down the deal," said Lucio Cannamela, an analyst with Centrosim in Milan. Cannamela notes that Pirelli has promised to provide some details of an industrial plan for Telecom Italia, long awaited by market players, after the Commission approval.
