A dramatic upsurge in U.S. gas turbine generating capacity over the past two years is continuing, even in the face of regulatory pressure and technological advances in control equipment that are rapidly driving down emission limits for nitrogen oxides ([NO.sub.x]) and other pollutants throughout the country.
