The good things in life don't come cheap. Take for example our Porsche Boxster S. With a $57,452 price tag it will definitely make a dent in most people's pocketbooks. But as we found out in the third quarter of its yearlong visit to our fleet, the initial cost is just the beginning. The car came due for its 15,000-mile service, which included new pollen and air filters and an oil change, for a grand total of $475.39. We had a few odds and ends taken care of too, including replacing a broken windscreen that fits into the headrest, repairing a disconnected windshield washer hose and replacing a broken cupholder. Fortunately, these repairs were covered under warranty.
