Puget sells ConneXt subsidiary.(Puget Sound Energy sells ConneXt to Alliance Data System)(Brief Article)
Puget Sound Energy announced the sale of ConneXt, its customer billing software subsidiary, to Dallas-based Alliance Data System as part of a deal to outsource PSE's data processing and billing services.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed, but the Bellevue-based utility entered into a 10-year contract with Alliance to handle PSE's billing and processing work. As part of the deal, Alliance Data will integrate ConneXt's ConsumerLinX software program into customer software applications.
In July, ConneXt laid off 46 employees. With the sale of the company's assets to Alliance Data Systems, ConneXt's remaining 105 employees will keep their jobs in Bellevue, …
