Charles McDaniel CHARLES McDANIEL, THE PRESIDENT of Hilldrup Moving & Storage, is a lifelong resident of Fredericksburg. Since the early 1960s he's taken an active role in the city's business, historical, and civic activities.

McDaniel, who's 50, has served on the city council and as secretary of the city's electoral board. He currently sits on the boards of directors of the Mary Washington College Foundation, the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center, United Van Lines, and the American Movers Conference.

McDaniel is also involved in developing commercial property in the Fredericksburg area, and has extensive knowledge of the business climate in the Stafford-Fredericksburg-Spotsylvania region. He recently spoke about development issues in the area.

Do you consider the Stafford-Fredericksburg-Spotsylvania area now to be part of the Washington area?
