FAT MAGNET TRIAL

Susan Schacht details the recent trial of the promoters of the Fat Magnet weight-loss pill in her description of deceptive weight-loss claims and health gimmicks (Transcript Telegram, Holyoke, Massachusetts, June 13, 1989). Schacht also provides useful information on Anorex 2000 which relies upon EAB, a mild anesthetic that numbs the taste buds.

Fat Magnet ads ran in 725 newspapers (Schact says that none ran in California because of its aggressive action against health fraud).
