Converse to put NBA on kids' line NO. READING, Mass. -- As part of it effort to provide performance product in its children's line, Converse will introduce leather basketball shoes that feature NBA logos and colors.

The collection, dubbed NBA II, will be offered in six NBA team color-logo combinations, including those of the Boston Celtics, New York Knickerbockers, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. Made of leather, the shoes feature a two-color outsole that coordiantes with the upper trim and logo. Available in February 1990, the NBA collection will be offered in children's sizes 8-2 and youth sizes 2 1/2-6.
