* The story so far: Ben and Jackson are history, but Maggie had a great date with older, luxe-lifestyle Luke--just before he left for Australia for a month. But her upcoming trip to Brazil gave her something to look forward to....
saturday
Arrived in Rio this morning w/Olya. My buddy Hoyt and his boyfriend, Sergio, picked us up at the airport, and we headed out for the craziest night. Brazilians can seriously party! Had dinner at a churrascaria where they kept coming around with every possible version of beef. Think I consumed an entire cow by myself. Did a round of shots. Then another one. Things began to get wild.
We were in a party mood, and--perfect!--Sergio knew of a rave, so we jetted over. There I spied the best-looking men on the planet--young, hot, and half-naked. Great music. Great dancers. Had a blast, then moved on to another club. Too bad I promptly got us thrown out by climbing on the stage w/the male gogo dancers. The poor boys got a little nervous when I started tugging at the towels around their waists and waving my camera around madly. Manager not so kindly asked us to leave. Prude.
But the night was definitely not over yet! Found our way to an after-hours club. Olya and I approached the first adorable boys we saw. Asked if they spoke English. Surprisingly, they did. Started smooching them straightaway Was very happy w/my guy, who was only 21--yikes! (Serious cradle-robbing. Am turning into Cher!) He was all punk rock w/purple hair and a lip ring. Turned out he was half-Texan, so his English was perfect. Not that we talked much. Olya, meanwhile, kept upgrading from one hottie to the next. She finally settled on a sexy blond Belgian. Hoyt dragged us out of there at 6 A.M. Waved good-bye to my kissing partner. He looked confused.
monday
Olya and I went to a new restaurant/lounge, which had a very NYC vibe. Learned that Rio's not like home, tho. There's action to be had any night of the week back home, but in Rio, nothing goes on on Monday nights. Place was almost empty, but Olya and I got cozy with the help--a girl has to work with what she's got! Our waiter, Anderson, and I boogied while his manager was in the back; Olya learned some Portuguese from the door guy, Flavio. They passed on their digits and promised to meet us for a double date later in the week. O and I called it a night and zoomed back to our hotel.
