Trucks loaded with furniture and equipment rolled into Coronado High School on Wednesday, while new textbooks for 1,500 students were checked in at Cram Middle School.
In the northwest, Darnell Elementary School was cleared for occupancy, allowing staff members to move in.
That's just a sampling of the frenetic activity on the campuses of 12 new schools opening Aug. 30. Four additional schools are planned to open in the first quarter of 2002.
